ArmInfo. Within the framework of the Japanese grant, the newest educational greenhouse will be built at the Agrarian University.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia, in the presence of RA First Deputy Minister of Agriculture Gegham Gevorgyan, rector of the National Agrarian University of Armenia Vardan Urutyan and other officials in the RA Ministry of Agriculture grant agreement signing ceremony, <Program for the reconstruction of an experimental greenhouse with the aim of retraining highly skilled agronomists> was held worth $ 67,212.
The agreement was signed by Ambassador of Japan to Armenia Jun Yamada and director of the International Center for Research and Education in Agribusiness (ICARE) Arthur Grigoryan.
The program is funded by the Embassy of Japan under the program "Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects". The goal of the program is the restructuring of the old greenhouse of the National Agrarian University of Armenia into the newest modern teaching and experimental one. Greenhouse area of 420 square meters,, for students, university professors, students of the 8-month innovative educational program of the ICARE Foundation <Production and management of greenhouse crops> and also farmers will become a venue for teaching and research work.
