ArmInfo. The deadline for the start of financing the Masrik-1 solar power plant construction project has been extended by 198 days. The decision was taken at the May 2 meeting of the RA government.
As noted in the certificate - the rationale of the draft decision, the current agreement with the company "FRV Masrik" the final date for the start of financing the project expired on April 15 of this year. In this regard, the company appealed to the government of the country with a request to postpone these deadlines for the success of this program.
To note, at the March 29 meeting, the Armenian government gave the go-ahead for the sale of the FRV Masrik company 32.6 thousand hectares for the construction of an industrial solar power plant. As noted in the reference - substantiation of the draft decision, on December 29, 2016, the RA government decided to build and operate a 55 MW solar power plant in the Mets Masrik community of the Gegharkunik region. The government of the country proposed that the head of the community, after the decision entered into force, amend the land schemes within two months, indicating energy, transport, communications and utilities infrastructures. After completing these procedures, within 10 days enter into an agreement with the investor. At the same time, all the costs of notarial and state registration of property rights impose on the company. In case of improper use of land within six months within one year, ensure the targeted use of agricultural land.
To note, the "FRV Masrik" company, made by a foreign consortium, will build in the Mets Masrik community of the Gegharkunik region of Armenia a Masrik-1 industrial-scale solar power station. The government of the Republic of Armenia approved the company's application for exemption from customs payments for imported equipment and inventory at a meeting on March 14.
The tender for the construction of the "Masrik-1" station with a capacity of 55 MW was won by a consortium of the Fotowatio Renewable Ventures B.V Dutch company with Spanish roots and the Spanish FSL Solar S.L. which, in turn, founded the "FRV Masrik" company in Armenia. All the necessary infrastructure conditions for the construction of a modern powerful photovoltaic station have been created in the selected area, which will produce 120-150 million kW / h of electricity. Earlier it was reported that the Masrik-1 solar power plant will provide 2% of the total energy produced in the country. According to estimates of specialists, the construction of the Masrik-1 will amount to 55 million euros, but no official amount has been reported on the construction of the station. To recall, the total cost of the program for the construction of solar power plants in Armenia is $ 129 million. In total, within the framework of the program it is planned to build solar stations with industrial capacity of up to 110 megawatts in various regions of Armenia. Of the 6 surveyed locations for two, the Spanish consulting "ARIES Ingenieria> company has already submitted feasibility studies. They relate to the Masrik (Masrik-2) areas in the Gegharkunik region and the Dashtadem in the Aragatsotn region, and research is continuing on the other four areas.
