Marat Kusainov graduated from the Alma-Ata Institute of National Economy with a degree in industrial planning, the National Higher School of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a degree in public administration, and postgraduate studies at Moscow State University. M. V. Lomonosov. He is a candidate of economic sciences. From 2014 to 2017, he served as First Deputy Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 2017 to 2019 - Member of the Board (Minister) for Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

The composition of the EDB Management Board has also been changed.
