ArmInfo. At the Q1 of 2019, 14,576 cases of population migration were recorded, which is more than a year ago by 13.6%.
According to the data of the RA Statistical Committee, out of this number, 5151 people moved to the country from abroad. (with y-o-y growth of 20.4%), and 6369 people emigrated abroad (with y-o-y growth of 15.3%). Meanwhile, intrarepublic migration amounted to 8,207 cases, with y-o-y increase of 12.3%. In the end, in Q1 of 2019 the negative balance of migration in Armenia was 1,218 people (with y-o-y decline of 2%).
The main countries to which the citizens of Armenia prefer to move are Russia, the USA, Georgia, France and Germany.
For tourism purposes, 364.489 people visited Armenia during the reporting period. (with an increase of 5.2% per annum), and 317,891 people left. (with an increase of 5.7% per annum).
