Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan stated this on May 27 on the margins of the "My step in the name of Syunik region" investment business forum.
According to the Minister, the state has all the necessary tools to promote private initiatives that one way or another can lead to the creation of new jobs. A similar tool that the country's leadership is working on today, according to Tunyan, is the Tax Code, or rather, the amendments proposed in the document. "The changes have already received a positive conclusion from the standing commission of the National Assembly, they will soon be adopted in the first reading and will create more favorable conditions for business," the MP said.
To note, the amendments to the Armenian Tax Code offer to refund the previous threshold of the turnover tax of 115 million drams, introduce the notion of "microbusiness", whose representatives will exempt all types of taxes, in addition to income tax - from each employee in the amount of 5 thousand drams monthly. The amendments also propose the establishment of a single scale of a suitable tax at a rate of 23%, regardless of the size of the salary, instead of the current progressive scale of 23%, 28% and 36%.
