According to Lukashenko, as  Informburo.kz reports, the potential of  the Union is not just far from being exhausted, "he has not yet  begun, if you can say so." "In recent years, it has been possible to  maintain growth in the pace of trade. In 2018, compared with 2017, a  12% increase. Although it is alarming that the growth rate within the  union is falling, while with external countries, on the contrary, it  is growing," he said.

As the President of Belarus has pointed out, the member states of the  EAEU have extinguished inflation risks, eliminated employment  problems. "This means that the states are bringing together their  positions on macroeconomic policy. We need to use this experience in  agriculture, transport, electric power industry and in other areas,"  he stressed.

"It's not possible to ignore us (EAEU). The dialogue with  organizations and regional associations continues. Our agenda is  filled with new areas of work," the head of state said. The EEU, he  said, is engaged in the digital agenda, the implementation of  investment, innovative projects. At the same time, the priority  should be the implementation of existing agreements, freedom of  movement of goods, services and capital. Activity on external  circuits should not interfere. "A tangible positive result will  result in closer cooperation, an increase in the share of goods  produced within the union. It is necessary to create equal conditions  in all spheres. Each of us - from heads of state to experts - must  understand that in a union there is a single market, a common space,"  Lukashenko said.

According to President Lukashenko, it is important to expand the  powers of the EEC to counter the introduction of restrictive  measures. "I'm sure the honorary chairman will help us with this. The  question is not only about the individual. Many here begin to talk  about the individual, although this personality, God forbid everyone.  He has a huge army of intelligent people and experts. They worked  very seriously with him when he was president. And we can't lose it,  "he said.

According to him, at the meeting in a narrow format, he proposed that  the first president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Abishevich, be engaged  in, among other things, revising everything that was done or not done  in the EEU. Starting with the staff of our commission and ending with  the strategic directions of our activity.  "We must preserve the  results obtained and multiply them. I am convinced that by joint  efforts we will achieve success in the integration we are striving  for," concluded Alexander Lukashenko.
