The government of Armenia is aimed at building an innovative and comprehensive economy, and in this context it is especially important to maximize the opportunities provided by applied sciences in the economy and in the public administration system. This was stated yesterday by the Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan at a meeting with representatives of the technology research group, set up jointly by the American University of America and Hayastan All Armenian Fund.
According to the press service of the RA government, experts from various international educational institutions presented the results of their research in the educational, economic and technological sectors of Armenia. They proposed to the RA government to focus on the competitiveness of Armenian companies, strengthen educational and business ties, enhance the role of secondary vocational education, and develop digital education.
Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan welcomed the work done by the American University of Armenia and AGBU, stressing that the government is implementing a number of programs aimed at developing education, science and economics, and the conclusions of the expert group can be useful for improving these programs.
During the discussions, an exchange of views took place on the steps towards the technological development of Armenia. The participants touched upon international best practices and opportunities of Armenia, which can serve the country's economic, scientific and educational opportunities.
