ArmInfo. Infrastructure development is an integral part of the economic revolution in Armenia. Minister of High-Tech Industry Hakob Arshakyan announced this on June 19 at the RA National Assembly.
According to him, as of today, more than 230 km of roads have been fully repaired, which is 120 km more than planned. In many ways, this was achieved thanks to the dedicated work of specialists and the improvement of the quality of services. Earlier, as the Minister noted, hundreds of Armenian companies associated with the former authorities, regardless of their type of activity, work experience, opportunities, availability of qualified personnel, received licenses for road construction works. Moreover, many of these companies took part and won in tenders for the construction of various sections of roads, which could not but affect the quality of work. These companies are currently on the black list. An electronic system for assessing the capabilities and quality of work has been developed and is being used, which, according to the minister, allows to avoid the emergence of new risks, including opportunities for sabotage.
Hakob Arshakyan also informed about the optimization in the system of state non-profit organizations. In particular, the "Directorate of road construction programs" was optimized by 14%. Similar work has been done in other organizations. The minister added that the new government would not take into account all the mediation proposals, as was the case previously, but would aim at carrying out high-quality work.
A roadmap for the provision of passenger transportation services has been developed, which covers all settlements of the republic. This work has already been completed, and on its basis a new transport model will be applied.
The government, according to the minister, intends to use all means to use the potential of the citizens of the country and conquer international markets. For this reason, the Ministry of High- Tech Industry was created, which will be the first drops of the upcoming rain.
