ArmInfo. The EU-Tumo "Engineering and Applied Sciences Complex" research and education project reports that Armenia is joining the Ecole 42 network of the innovative French school of programming.
"42 school Yerevan" will be located next to the Tumo Center in the capital of Armenia and will function as one of the projects of the EU-Tumo Engineering and Applied Sciences project.
At the beginnings of the creation of an innovative school of programming 42 school (Ecole 42) is the French entrepreneur Xavier Neel. The purpose of the Educational Center is to give those over 18 years of age free education and the opportunity to become the best expert in programming in the future and create a good base for its successful future. Thanks to this collaboration, Tumo hopes to give a new round to the development of IT and start-ups.
"42 Yerevan" plans to involve in the process women and students from the regions of Armenia, whom they will provide with accommodation during two-year studies. The school will accept up to 150 students annually. "42 Yerevan" will be the only one in the region.

Recall that on March 19 in Yerevan, the scientific and educational project "Engineering and Applied Sciences EU-Tumo Complex" was launched. As stated by the Minister of Education and Science Araik Harutyunyan, the EU provides a grant to Armenia within the framework of the "European Union for Innovations" program in order to promote reforms in the field of education, which consists of two components. One of them is the creation in <Tumo> of the Complex of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and the second is the development of educational criteria and subject programs in mathematics and natural sciences for grades 1-12, as well as the creation of textbooks and the retraining of teachers.
As reported, it is planned that a building with an area of approximately 15,000 square meters will be built near the center of Tumo. The structure will include educational infrastructure following the example of the Tumo laboratories, as well as the STEM research laboratory (STEM fields are science, technology, engineering and mathematics or applied mathematics - ed.), A conference room and commercial areas to ensure the long-term financial stability of the center. The laboratories of Tumo will be a logical continuation of the program of Tumo, which will allow university students and young professionals at the age of 18 years to acquire the applied skills of STEM. The center will become a hub of research, education and start-ups, which will attract local and international partners and will serve as a bridge between higher education and industry. It will become part of the new complex of the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics of the French University Armenia The EU provides a grant of 23 million euros to Armenia to promote educational reforms, of which 10.5 million euros to develop criteria for STEM subjects, and 12.5 million euros to the Tumo Center for Creative Technologies for the implementation of the project "Engineering Complex and applied science EU-Tumo>. It was reported that the total cost of this new complex at <Tumo> is 25 million euros, the program is carried out with co-financing by the EU and the <Tumo> center.
