He stressed that efforts to develop the region will continue.

"We have to make Tavush the best place for the resort. Georgia is near our area, and we must do everything we can to attract tourists from there, including from Georgia. "We need to create new tourist destinations, one of which is the village of Acharkurt, which has 200 inhabitants. This is one of the most picturesque villages in the world, around which there are more than 30 historical and cultural monuments," the governor of Tavush region said. Touching upon Dilijan, Hayk Chobanyan noted that everything possible is being done to turn the city into a center of intellectual tourism. "We have 110 thousand hectares of agricultural land, of which only 30% is used," he said at the same time, expressing his conviction that in the coming years, Tavush region could become a major agricultural investment center.
