Artak Qamalyan had discussion on sustainable agriculture development  strategy with international donor organizations

Led by RA Deputy Minister of Economy Artak Qamalyan, a discussion of the sustainable agriculture development strategy document was held, which was  attended by representatives of a number of interested international  organizations, foundations, the National Agrarian University of  Armenia, as well as experts from the field.

According to the press service of the economic department, according  to the developed document, it is envisaged to make an inventory of  the existing situation in the field of agriculture, outline  development directions, targets for the coming years and a roadmap to  achieve them.

In the near future, it is planned to hold more extensive discussions  of the strategy document with stakeholders, in particular, with  experts from the field and representatives of the private sector.

According to the report, representatives of the Ministry of Economy  of the Republic of Armenia, a number of international experts from  the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, local  experts, as well as specially invited experts from USAID (US Agency  for International Development) were involved in the work on the  development of the document.
