ArmInfo. Annual rates of tax collection in Armenia will be significantly exceeded, on August 1, David Ananyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, told reporters.
According to him, on the basis of the conducted research, it was originally planned to collect 62 billion drams in y-o-y terms, however this indicator was achieved in the first half of the year. However, according to the head of the SRC, this does not mean that the year will end at the same pace, especially as part of program budgeting. Nevertheless, the head of the SRC expressed confidence that in the second half of the year it will be possible to collect another 63.3 billion drams.
To note, however, that yesterday Ministry of Finance of Armenia published a report on the implementation of the state budget in 2019 in the first half of the year. Taxes and duties exceeded not only the rate of last year, but also by 55 billion drams exceeded the amount planned for the current year.
Earlier, the head of the State Revenue Committee, David Ananyan, stated that the tax service strengthened checks on business reports, as well as cash checks in retail trade. Thus, for the first quarter of 2018, about 65 million chekcs were printed- for a total turnover of 317 billion drams (658 million dollars). And in the first quarter of 2019, 85.7 million pieces were already printed, at a turnover of 372.4 billion drams.
