The head of government recalled that in the first half of 2019, 1000 large taxpayers paid 14.3% or 64 billion drams more to the state budget than in the same period last year.
Earlier, ArmInfo reported that the top 1000 taxpayers of Armenia paid more than 511 billion drams to the state budget in January-June 2019 compared to 446 billion drams for the same period of 2018. According to the State Revenue Committee, in comparison with the first half of 2018, the volume of taxes paid by large taxpayers increased by 64.4 billion drams, or by 14.4%. The first ten largest taxpayers combined paid 131.4 billion drams to the state budget, or about 26% of the taxes paid by 1000 major taxpayers of the country. The largest taxpayer in Armenia is the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine mining company, which paid 29.5 billion drams to the state in the first six months of this year. Compared to the first half of 2018, this company paid taxes by about 4.9 billion drams, or 19.7%, more. The second major taxpayer is Grand Tobaco, a tobacco company. The volume of taxes paid by this company amounted to 28.2 billion drams. Compared to the first half of last year, this indicator increased by 11.6 billion drams, or by 69.3%. Gazprom Armenia closes the top three largest taxpayers, transferring 22.7 billion drams to the state budget, which is 2 billion, or 9.9% more than last year.
In the fourth place is another tobacco company - International Masis Tobacco, which in the first half of this year transferred to the state budget 9.4 billion drams. Compared with the same period last year, this figure increased by 3.6 billion, or 61.9%. The fifth place in the list is the mining company "GeoProMining Gold" with 9.1 billion drams. The growth of taxes paid by this company amounted to 256 million drams, or 2.8%.
In sixth place is CJSC "Electric Networks of Armenia", which transferred 7.7 billion drams to the state budget. Compared to the first half of 2018, the volume of taxes paid by this company increased by 1.3 billion drams, or by 19.5%. The next major taxpayer is Flash, a gas trading company, which paid AMD 7.6 billion this year, which is AMD 2.8 billion or 57% more than the same period last year. In the eighth position is the Aquilon Trade company, which has transferred to the state budget 6.5 billion drams compared to 0.7 billion drams last year. Next is another tobacco company - "Philip Moris Armenia" - 5.1 billion drams. This figure is less than last year by about 3 billion drams, or 36.5%. Armenia's International Airports closes the top ten largest taxpayers of the country with 5.1 billion drams. In this case, the tax increase amounted to 2.3 billion drams, or 80.3%.
