
ArmInfo.The Iranian business community is very interested in developing relations with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. This was stated by the President of the Iranian Chamber for Commerce, Industry, Mine and Agriculture Gholam Hossein Shafei during a working meeting with the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (ECE) Tigran Sargsyan in Bishkek on September 25 as part of the IV International Forum "Eurasian Week - 2019>.
According to the official press service of the EEC, Gholam Hossein Shafei noted the establishment of a simplified procedure for the movement of citizens and capital between countries as the priority tasks for Iran's interaction with the EAEU. ''The opportunities for our cooperation that the agreement opens are very high''.
For his part, Tigran Sargsyan noted that it is very important to take into account the interests of the business community, develop clear mechanisms for cooperation and guarantee the necessary support to business. According to the report, the parties discussed the financial, customs and technical aspects of cooperation under the Interim Agreement leading to the formation of a free trade zone between the EAEU and Iran, which will enter into force on October 27 this year.
At the same time, the interlocutors emphasized the need for a separate dialogue on financial and technical issues of economic cooperation. At the same time, in order to make the upcoming negotiations more effective, Tigran Sargsyan asked his Iranian colleagues to present a list of topics that, in the opinion of the Iranian business, could become the subject of a detailed discussion. In turn, the Iranian side will be presented with aspects of interest to entrepreneurs of the Union countries.
To note, the Eurasian Week Forum is an annual event organized by the EAEU countries and the Eurasian Economic Commission. In 2019, the forum is held in the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic - the city of Bishkek. The agenda of the event is focused on the discussion of the results of the fifth anniversary of the Treaty of Union. The program of the "Eurasian Week" involves the organization of more than 20 sites on three tracks: strategic, partner, youth. The forum is attended by over 2,000 people.
