ArmInfo. On October 2, the Central Bank of Armenia hosted the second meeting of the EEC Financial Markets Advisory Committee, which was attended by members of the committee, as well as representatives of regulatory bodies of the financial sector of the EAEU member countries.
As the Central Bank press service reports, the meeting discussed issues related to the formation of the EAEU common financial market, in particular, aspects of harmonization of financial market legislation, implementation of common processes, development of a roadmap for the EAEU common exchange space, etc. According to the report, following the meeting, the participants agreed to continue work on a number of issues discussed.
Yesterday, on October 2, CBA Chairman Artur Javadyan met with Timur Zhaksylykov, a member of the collegium (minister) for economics and financial policy of the EEC, who arrived in Armenia to attend meetings of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and the Advisory Committee on Financial Markets. During this meeting, the interlocutors, evaluating the results of the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, expressed hope that this would open up new partnership and integration opportunities for the EAEU member states. A. Javadyan and T. Zhaksylykov attached particular importance to the adoption of the concept of forming a common financial market, and the joint work of central banks and the EAEU collegium.
