ArmInfo.Armenia reached an agreement with a number of Arab countries at the GITEX technology week in Dubai. This was announced during the visit of the head of business development programs of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation Amalia Yeghoyan to Dubai for the participation of GITEX Technology Week 2019.
According to the Foundation's official statement, during the technology week, meetings were held with representatives of UAE technology companies in order to start cooperation with the engineering city.
At the same time, Amalia Yeghoyan met with Ammar al Malik, Managing Diector of the technology and business area of Dubai Internet City. The parties agreed on the visit of technology companies operating in the engineering city to the Dubai Internet City zone.
In the framework of GITEX, Yeghoyan also visited the investment forum of African states, where a meeting was held with the Minister of Communications of Nigeria, Isa Ali Ibrahim, who expressed a desire to begin cooperation with the Engineering City of Armenia. In particular, they spoke about projects in the field of engineering education and research, including the application of the model of ANEL (Armenian National Engineering Laboratories) in Nigeria.
An agreement was reached with the Advanced Electronics Company in Saudi Arabia on a number of pilot projects. <There are great opportunities for cooperation in the technological and especially engineering sectors with the Arab countries. I think the agreements reached at GITEX Technology Week will contribute to their speedy implementation>, she said.
To note, GITEX Technology Week 2019 is the largest and most respected exhibition of the latest achievements in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT) and electronics.
