Takeo Kanade: High technologies have a great future in Armenia

High technologies have a great future in Armenia.  Japanese scientist, professor at the Carnegie Mellon University of the United States Takeo Kanade, who on  the eve became the winner of the state award of Armenia Global IT  Award - 2019, said this during a meeting with  President of the  Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian.

According to the official statement of the head of state, expressing  gratitude for the high appreciation of his work, Takeo Kanade said he  was impressed by Armenia and the Armenians. In particular, he drew  attention to the fact that in Armenia, as in Japan, parents attach  particular importance to ensuring that their children receive a good  education.

According to the source, during the meeting the interlocutors  discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of innovative  technologies, scientific and educational programs and student  exchange programs.

President Sarkissian invited Professor Kanade to participate in the  "Armenian Summit of Mindes" next year, the main topics of which will  be the geopolitical realities of the 21st century, new technologies  and the impact of artificial intelligence.
