Beeline and the British Council launch a joint program

ArmInfo. Beeline and the British Council's Armenian office announced the launch of the project "Coding Skills: Linking the Present and the Future", aimed at  developing digital and other skills, critical and analytical thinking  among students through additional lessons.

According to the official statement of the company, with the support  of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the  Republic of Armenia, three programmed micro-devices Micro: bit will  be introduced in the three high schools of Yerevan, which will make  the educational process more interactive, interesting and effective.  Along with the equipment, appropriate resources will be provided for  teaching and learning.

As part of a pilot project that runs until May 2020, 300 students  from selected high schools will take part in extra-curricular  introductory lessons on coding, and ICT teachers in beneficiary  schools will be offered retraining courses on the use of micro: bit  tools. Upon completion of the project, both school and interschool  competitions will be organized for graduates - the <Coding  Challenge>, which will provide them with the opportunity to  demonstrate their acquired skills and knowledge.
