ArmInfo. On December 17-18, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan will visit Nur-Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan, to take part in the meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).
According to the official website of the Government of Armenia, the decision to send the Deputy Prime Minister to Nur Sultan was signed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on December 17.
To note, the meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) will be held on December 18, 2019 in Nur-Sultan. According to the EDB press service, the event will be chaired by Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Askar Mamin. It is planned to discuss preliminary results of the bank's work for 2019 and approve the EDB planning documents for 2020. Decisions are also expected on major new investment projects. The meeting will be attended by delegations from all EDB member countries.
The Council of the Eurasian Development Bank is the highest governing body, which includes representatives of each member state. Today the Council includes Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia Armen Hayrapetyan, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Belarus Maxim Ermolovich, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan-Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, Minister of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic Baktygul Zheenbaeva, Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Sanjar Mukanbetov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov, Russian Deputy Finance Minister Sergey Storchak, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan and Qahhorzoda Faiziddin Sattor, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, the factory committee Amin Zavkizoda.
The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) is an international financial organization designed to promote the economic growth of member states, expand trade and economic ties between them and develop integration processes in the Eurasian Space through investment activities. The Bank was established on the basis of an interstate agreement signed on January 12, 2006 by authorized representatives of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan. The initiative to create the Bank belongs to the presidents of Russia and Kazakhstan. In 2009, the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Tajikistan, in 2010 - the Republic of Belarus, and in 2011 - the Kyrgyz Republic became full members of the Bank.
