ArmInfo. In 2020, the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia plans to send about 45 entrepreneurs to the Silicon Valley for 3-5-week retraining courses. Head of the Department Hakob Arshakyan announced this on December 18 at a meeting with reporters.
According to him, there are already relevant agreements, in particular, with the University of Draper in California. The ministry has signed cooperation programs with other accelerators and incubators. "The program is being implemented jointly with the branch and headquarters of the General Armenian Charity Union in Silicon Valley," Arshakyan said.
In addition, in 2020, the department plans to conduct retraining courses for 6 thousand specialists, three thousand of whom are in Yerevan, the rest in the regions. The state will direct about 200 million drams for these purposes.
Earlier, ArmInfo reported that in order to promote knowledge, experience and skills for turning Armenia into a high-tech military-industrial country - a manufacturer and an exporter, the state budget in 2020 envisages allocating about 12.5 billion drams to the Ministry.
