Vice Prime Minister: Digitalization is considered by the Government  of Armenia as a key tool for creating an effective system of state  management

Armenia as a key tool for creating an effective and participatory  public administration system, creating a favorable business  environment and ensuring rapid economic growth, providing  high-quality public services to the population. According to the  press service of the Government of Armenia, the head of the Council,  Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan stated at the first meeting of  the Digitalization Council.  According to him, during the election  campaign, the government program announced the intentions of the  authorities to build a country that will become technologically  advanced and innovative, capable of solving problems and maximizing  breakthroughs. "Digitalization is key role in achieving these goals.  We have set specific goals in the areas of management efficiency,  technology development and digitalization, "said the Deputy Prime  Minister.

Tigran Avinyan, in the first place, emphasized the importance of  modernizing the public administration system, implementing reforms to  reduce costs, eliminating unnecessary bureaucratic procedures. In  addition, according to him, it is necessary to ensure interaction and  synchronization of the state information system, to modernize,  automate and digitize modern services based on the principle of  "single window".  "This will allow the exchange of data between  government bodies only after a citizen requests data, digitizes the  economy and provides favorable conditions for the development of the  digital economy, ensures information security, cybersecurity and  confidentiality during the digitization period," the Deputy Prime  Minister emphasized.

On the whole, he continued, the goals in the field of digitalization  and technological development are quite ambitious and cover almost  all areas of government, local government and economics. Realization  of these goals requires systematic interagency cooperation, and a  Digitalization Council was created to coordinate work. Within the  framework of the Council, it is planned to ensure discussion of all  digitization strategies, strategic documents, harmonize  digitalization policies, and coordinate with international  organizations.  "Various state and local authorities have done a  great job in digitizing management services. Some structures have  applied the latest technologies. There are structures that use  elements of artificial intelligence. However, assessing the  importance and value of the work, I believe that a unified state  policy should be pursued in digitalization, programs should be  coordinated, and the Digitalization Council should be the  coordinating body, "the Vice Prime Minister concluded.

Then, Minister of High-Tech Industry Hakob Arshakyan and Deputy  Minister Armen Abroyan presented a report on the digitalization  strategy with a detailed description of its indicators and goals.   Mikael Pashayan, Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee,  presented the roadmap for digitalization of the gaming sector,  namely, the application of the relevant standards of Armenia and the  creation of the QHD Monitoring Center.
