As for agricultural products of interest from the point of view of export, Yamada pointed out the high quality of fruits and vegetables grown in Armenia. According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, in January-December 2019, the foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Japan amounted to $ 205.8 million with a y-o-y growth of 2.1 fold. In particular, exports amounted to $ 1.5 million with a y-o-y growth of 4 fold, and imports - $ 204.3 million with a y-o-y growth of 2.1 fold. According to the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the main goods imported to Armenia from Japan are land vehicles, optical and photo devices, machinery and electronics. The main products exported to Japan are alcoholic beverages, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, copper, ferroalloys and tobacco products.
