ArmInfo.As part of his visit to Moscow, Armenian High Commissioner for Diaspora Zare Sinanyan met with members of the Cilicia Business Club. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Russia Vardan Toganyan was also present at the meeting, the office of the High Commissioner reports.
According to the source, the meeting participants were presented with the activities of the office, priorities, the agenda of work with the diaspora. Zare Sinanyan highlighted the maximum involvement of the diaspora in the life of Armenia, the development of infrastructure and the removal of barriers, the implementation of mass repatriation, and the restoration of mutual trust between the diaspora and historical homeland as important directions.
In turn, the founder of the club Nver Sargsyan presented the main objectives of the organization for 2020, focusing mainly on opportunities and prospects for the implementation of investment projects in Armenia. At the meeting, an agreement was reached on holding the "Armenian Business Networking" event, which will be held in April this year in cooperation with the office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs. The Commissioner was also presented with the idea of creating an offline communication platform "Cilicia Tun", which will be a meeting place for businessmen from Diasporas in Armenia The club will also launch an electronic platform where users can upload their data, areas of activity, get to know and work together.
Zare Sinanyan thanked businessmen for their interest in the business environment of Armenia and expressed readiness for cooperation and support in the implementation of the proposed initiatives.
