
ArmInfo. The volume of oil products imported to Armenia increased by 19% in 2019, amounting to 393.2 thousand tons, against the decline in 2018 by 4.6%. According to the data of the Armenian Customs Service, a growth of 6.9% was also recorded in value terms, exceeding $ 297 million.
The TOP-5 import markets of Armenia included Russia, increasing its share from 63.7% to 72.1%, Iran (from 1.5% in 2018 to 11.5% in 2019), Turkey (with a share of 7.8 %), followed by Italy (2.6%) and Romania (1.8%). During the reporting period, Armenia also imported oil products from Georgia, Lithuania, Greece, Germany, the Netherlands, Belarus, Poland, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Iraq, Ukraine, China, etc.
According to the source, in the reporting year, oil exports increased from 1.2 tons in 2018 to 458.9 tons in 2019. In value terms, exports respectively increased significantly - reaching $ 322.5 thousand. The export of oil products from Armenia almost entirely (98.7%) fell on the Iranian market, the remaining volume was distributed between Georgia and Russia.
It should be noted that today the price of oil on international markets has fallen by an average of 30%, to $ 32.6 per barrel.
