Armenian State Revenue Committee  urged taxpayers to timely fulfill  tax obligations

ArmInfo. The Committee of State Revenues of Armenia (SRC) called on taxpayers to timely fulfill their tax obligations.

"The SRC reminds taxpayers that the Tax Code of the Republic of  Armenia defines the procedure and conditions for calculating taxes,  the timing of tax payments, and tax benefits.

The Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia establish the following types  of tax incentives: deferral of tax exemption, exemption from  penalties and fines, reduction of time, delay in payment and other  benefits that are provided for in violation of the provisions of the  Code. Tax benefits are determined solely by the Code or the laws of  the Republic of Armenia.

The SRC of the Republic of Armenia or another government body is not  authorized by any other legal act to establish tax benefits for a  particular group of taxpayers.

Consequently, the SRC of the Republic of Armenia will continue to  exercise the functional powers assigned to it, urging taxpayers to  timely and comprehensively fulfill their tax obligations, "the agency  said in a statement to ArmInfo.

On the eve of a press conference in Yerevan, the head of the SRC   David Ananyan noted that the tax service of Armenia makes sure that  all retail trade was conducted on cash receipts. In recent days, the  volume of retail trade in grocery stores and pharmacies has increased  in the country. Some points (especially in shopping centers) have  closed, but even so, retail sales have not yet fallen. As David  Ananyan noted, if on March 16, 1.2 million cash vouchers were knocked  out in the republic, then on March 17 it was 1.5 million. In  pharmacies, there were lines for alcohol gels and masks, and in  supermarkets everyone tried to stock up on food for several days so  as not to leave the house. Nevertheless, according to the head of the  State Revenue Committee, it is obvious that in the coming days trade  will decrease: most cafes, restaurants and non-food stores are  closed. Under these conditions, the SRC carefully monitors that where  trade continues, goods "by the guise" are not sold without cash  receipts. Tax discipline should not be weakened so that the state  continues to function normally.

Recall that in Armenia from March 16 to April 14 a state of emergency  was introduced to combat the spread of coronavirus.

Entry and exit from the country are restricted, public events are  prohibited, many restaurants, cafes and shops were closed on their  own initiative. Educational and cultural institutions are also   closed.
