ArmInfo. Overcoming the global crisis is likely to begin with China. A similar opinion was expressed by ArmInfo German political scientist Alexander Rahr.
"The industrial downtime will end sooner or later. I think that in the coming weeks the situation in China will begin to stabilize, after which the first prerequisites for an economic recovery will be outlined there. Accordingly, the demand for energy carriers, in particular oil, will gradually increase again," he said. According to Rahr, the economic consequences of the spread of coronavirus will be severe for all countries of the world. And today it can be stated that everyone suffers losses, without exception, including China itself. The situation will become clearer with the emergence of a country that is able to restore industrial production faster than others. So far, the situation, according to the political scientist, is characterized as sheer uncertainty.
"In my country, in Germany, literally everything is idle today. The work of various institutions has been disrupted, programs have been suspended, the economy is standing, which leads to the accumulation of debts. And in this difficult period for all of us, there are not even any prospects for improving the situation. There will be changes, No doubt. However, I believe that talk about how the world will be after overcoming the coronavirus is speculative, "he stressed. According to Rahr's forecasts, after two to three weeks it will become possible to evaluate the productivity and effectiveness of the methods and means by which governments of various countries try to prevent a drop in economic indicators. In particular, the German government has such expectations, so far calling on citizens to self-isolation.
"As I understand it, our government hopes for positive results of the anti-crisis measures taken. If they are justified, immediate growth of stock quotes, oil prices and, accordingly, the revival of the industrial sector will begin. However, if God forbid, anti-crisis measures will end in Germany what will happen in Italy will be repeated, no one will be able to give a forecast regarding further scenarios for the development of the situation, "the German political scientist summed up.
