State approved one-time grants for small businesses

ArmInfo. The state intends to pay one-time grants to small businesses, which, under the prevailing difficult conditions, have survived without reducing the number of  employees and wages in the period from January 1 to April 1 this  year. This decision was unanimously adopted during the meeting of the  Government of Armenia on March 26.

"It will be akin to state gratitude to business," the Prime Minister  of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan emphasized.  As the Minister of Economy of  the Republic of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan explained, this assistance  package will affect a business that has 2 to 50 employees and  conducts business activities in all areas except the financial  sector, game business, exchange points, buying and selling currency,  investment funds, etc.

The amount of the one-time grant will be the sum of the salaries of  every fifth employee. <For example, if the company employs 20 people  and the average salary of one employee is 150 thousand drams, the  grant will cover the amount of 4 average salaries, reaching 600  thousand drams>, the minister explained.

If the company has up to 5 employees, the grant will be calculated by  dividing the total salary fund by the number of employees.
