ArmInfo."Taking into account the current situation, capital expenditures will continue to remain super-priority for the government," the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan said at a meeting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs on April 7.
In this regard, he announced the government's intention to increase the volume of subvention programs, since the applications received from the communities for participation in these programs have already exceeded 40 billion drams. Noting that the budget for 2020 provides for 10 billion drams, Papikyan noted that after considering applications on the basis of the presented conclusions, the government will be ready to make the corresponding amount of co-financing. The Minister drew attention to the fact that as a result of legislative amendments introduced, a third party, a private person or organization, will be able to participate in co-financing of subvention programs. "This will provide an opportunity to initiate additional construction work in the communities of Armenia," he said.
At the same time, Papikyan recalled that in 2019 the number of implemented subvention programs was 3 times higher than in 2018. In total, according to the minister, 462 subvention programs were implemented in the regions of the RA.
