ArmInfo. Tariffs for gas transportation in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) were not agreed by the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), the meeting of which was held yesterday.
This was reported by the press service of the EEC. According to the source, the meeting of EEC members was held in the form of a video conference with the participation of deputy prime ministers of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. The issues of "Strategic directions for the development of Eurasian economic integration until 2025" were discussed at it.
So far, the issue of the tariff for gas transportation services on the EAEU common gas market remains unresolved. At the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, the prime ministers of the Union countries gave two weeks to resolve this issue. It is planned to discuss it again at the workshop on April 22, and in a day the tariffs for gas transportation will be discussed during an extraordinary meeting of the intergovernmental council. All events will be held in a video conference format. However, the deputy prime ministers managed to advance on three issues of strategy. It is about the advisability of liberalizing international freight transport by road, flexible mechanisms for targeted assistance to economic development and cooperation in healthcare.
