ArmInfo. The management of the National Postal Operator of Armenia Haypost CJSC (Armpost), passed to the state represented by the Ministry of High Technology Industry of the Republic of Armenia.
As the Minister of High-Tech Industry Hakob Arshakyan said on his Facebook page, <The Ministry of High-Tech Industry considers HayPost as a structure of strategic importance, and in the future we expect the new leadership to implement a long-term development strategy for the postal service based on the principles of focus on customer >, Arshakyan wrote.
He said that Hayk Karapetyan was appointed to the post of Acting Director of "Haypost". He worked in the telecommunications sector for more than 10 years in a number of international companies, in particular, since 2016 Karapetyan held the position of commercial director at <VEON Armenia> (TM Beeline).
To recall, yesterday a meeting was held, chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, during which the head of government instructed in the near future to present specific options for choosing the management model of the Haypost National Postal Service Operator.
It should be noted that earlier the post's concessionaire was a company affiliated with structures of Argentinean billionaire of Armenian origin Eduardo Eurnekian, "Haypost Trust Management". Eurnekian owns a controlling stake in Armenian Converse Bank, a number of other large commercial structures, is a concessionaire for Yerevan Zvartnots airport and Gyumri Shirak airport.
