ArmInfo. In Armenia, families with children will receive state assistance in acquiring mortgage apartments. At a meeting on May 14, the government of the country approved the corresponding program for 2020-2023.
Presenting the draft decision, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Zaruhi Batoyan noted that after the adoption of the document, the forms of the relevant agreements will be clarified together with the Central Bank of Armenia within two months. The decision of the government will extend to families with two or more children who wish to attract mortgages in order to improve their living conditions in the country's regions. Thus, as Zaruhi Batoyan noted, the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers will be aimed at solving demographic problems and at the stable development of the family. It is envisaged, in particular, to provide one-time financial assistance to the beneficiary on an advance payment for a mortgage loan. In addition, the state will provide credit insurance assistance to young families. It is also provided to assist in repaying part of the mortgage loan at birth. 526.7 mln drams will be allocated for solving the task by the state budget of the country in 2020. Participants in the prepaid program will be 245 beneficiaries, for insurance - 540, and for the birth of a child - 300. In the latter case, the beneficiaries of the program will be the families in which the children were born after July 1, 2020. At the same time, the maximum amount of attracted credit resources should not be more than 30 million drams, which can be increased by an average of 5 million drams per each born child. According to available estimates, the state, when purchasing apartments from the secondary housing market, will finance 10% of the attracted credit resources, from the primary market- 7.5%.
