VEON Announces Annual Social Responsibility Report

ArmInfo.VEON Group (Amsterdam Residence) has published an annual report on corporate social in economic results, compliance  with ethical standards, steps aimed at protecting the environment, as  well as social investments made by companies. This was reported by  the press service of Beeline in Armenia.

<As a large international company, VEON aims to work towards the  implementation of the 4 main goals of the UN sustainable development  goals (Sustainable Development Goals), including quality education  (digital literacy), production and innovation (development of the  ecosystem of startups)>, the source says.  Armenia in the report is  presented mainly by the project "Digital opportunities for students>,  which in 2019 was implemented jointly with the Children's Development  Fund. Within the framework of the project, 100 schoolchildren from 4  regions of Armenia, with the help of leading specialists in the  country, learned to use various digital tools to more effectively  organize the educational process.

We are sure that  the projects implemented by Beeline in Armenia will help young people  master the skills of using modern digital tools, create their own  future and leave their mark, "said Beeline CEO in Armenia Andrei  Pyatakhin.

According to the report, during 2019 Beeline in Armenia implemented  projects aimed at digital literacy with the TUMO Creative  Technologies Center, the Child Development Fund, as well as programs  to promote start-ups, in particular, SevanStratupSummir together with  Startup Armenia, StartHub together with the Technology Development  Center , BeelineStartupIncubator together with the Association of  Business Angels of Armenia (BANA) and the Summer School of Database  Science - with the American University of Armenia.
