Armenian government exempted Armenia Wine from customs duties on  import of equipment and raw materials

ArmInfo.  The Armenian government  exempted Armenia Wine from customs duties on the import of  technological equipment, their components  raw materials and (or)  materials. According to the statement substantiating the draft  government decision, the exemption from customs duties is 106 million  drams.

As part of this decision, Armenia Wine intends to invest 1.6 billion  drams and create 40 new jobs with an average salary of 250 thousand  drams.

Thanks to this investment program, it will be possible to produce  products worth 10 billion drams, of which 5 billion drams will be  sold in the domestic market, 4.2 billion drams in the EAEU and 800  million drams in third-country markets.

According to the source, in 2016 the enterprise was also exempted  from customs duties by the decision of the government, as a result of  which Armenia Wine made investments in the amount of 3.3 billion  drams and created 255 jobs.

It should be noted that starting with the planting of vineyards in  2006, Armenia Wine winery was founded in 2008. After 4 years - in  2010, the company presented its products to the Armenian consumer.  <Armenia Wine> wines are produced from Armenian and European grape  varieties purchased in four regions of Armenia, and grape varieties  grown in own vineyards are increasing from year to year. The company  in Armenia today is one of the leaders in the production and export  of quality wine.
