ArmInfo.Armenia intends to raise in the Eurasian Economic Union the issue of the possibility of lifting restrictions on movement in the context of the coronavirus. This was announced on September 10 at a government meeting by the Prime Minister RA Nikol Pashinyan.
According to him, as of today, the roads to Russia and other CIS countries are practically closed. As the situation improves at the EAEU level, the question of the possibility of lifting restrictions will be raised in order to understand when and under what conditions this will happen. The first discussions on this issue, as Nikol Pashinyan noted, have already begun.
The head of government also said that from mid-September about a dozen foreign airlines will resume operating regular flights with Armenia. The Civil Aviation Committee of the country summarizes the number of applications for the resumption of flights, and there are all preconditions for the resumption of air communication between Armenia and other countries from mid-September. He also pointed out that citizens of foreign countries arriving in the country, having passed a coronavirus test, and having received a negative result during the day, may not undergo a 14-day quarantine.
