ArmInfo.Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan spoke about some of the achievements of the country's greenhouse farms against the backdrop of the coronavirus  attack. In particular, on his Facebook page, the head of the  government said that in January-July of this year. Armenia increased  the volume of supplies to the external market of strawberries,  blackberries and currants grown in greenhouses by 166% to $ 5.5  million.

`` That is, on the one hand, we are dealing with the development of  greenhouse farms, on the other hand, the crop produced here does not  depend on weather conditions and, as I already had a reason to say,  here an economic entity does not expect how much harvest will receive  this year , but plans as much as he needs and produces exactly as  much>, the prime minister said.

In the same logic, Pashinyan presented the indicators for the export  of the mushroom-squash-spinach commodity group, the volumes of which  increased by 62%, amounting to $ 3.2 million. At the same time,  according to him, the export of flowers also increased by 16.9% to $  3.9 million. he noted that the most exported greenhouse product  remains tomatoes, the export volumes of which in January-July 2020.   increased by 18.5%, amounting to $ 23.5 million.

Note that according to the RA Customs Service, in the 1st half of  2020. Armenia exported 19.9 thousand tons of fresh or frozen  tomatoes, which is 19.9% higher than a year ago, while the customs  value increased by 33.9%, amounting to $ 21.7 million. The lion's  share of exports (99.6%) of Armenian tomato exports is to the Russian  market.
