ArmInfo. In Armenia, new rates of state duty will be applied for novice producers of cognac and cognac alcohol. The parliament of the country at a meeting on September 16 in the second and final reading adopted amendments to the law "On notification of activities" and in the law "On state fees".
According to the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Arman Khojoyan, at present, when organizing the production of cognac, the subjects must pay an annual state duty in the amount of 10 million drams. Taking into account the fact that it takes at least three years to obtain cognac and cognac alcohol, the subjects must pay 30 million drams, which turns out to be an unbearable burden for many. In this regard, it is proposed to establish a symbolic state fee in the amount of 50 thousand AMD per year, and from the moment of sales return to the current rate of 10 million AMD per year. Another change is proposed to equate the rates of the state duty applied to alcoholic drinks made from fruits, to mead, setting a single rate of 50 thousand AMD per year. When the entity organizes within a year, along with the production of cognac, and also vodka, the authorized body is only notified of this. In addition, at present, the provision is applied, according to which, upon notification of the start of activities, a duty of 15 million drams is paid and another 10 million drams when organizing production. Now, the state duty of 10 million drams will not be charged for organizing production.
