ArmInfo. Heads of state non-profit organizations of Armenia to be selected on a competition basis. The RA National Assembly at its planar session on September 17 in the first reading discusses the amendments to the law "On State Non-Commercial Organizations".
Presenting the draft amendments, their co-author, MP Varazdat Karapetyan noted that, in addition to higher education, the draft law envisages introducing a minimum two-year work experience of a candidate for participation in the competition. In addition, the applicant must have his own vision of the development of the SNCO. The competition will be held in two stages - written and oral. During the oral interview, he must present these visions to the competition committee. The author of the bill pointed out the inadmissibility of using predefined tests. The procedure and conditions for holding competitions should be determined by the RA government. For this, the document gives the executive body one month from the date of entry into force of the law. Persons who have deliberately committed an unlawful act and are suspected of corruption crimes will not participate in the competitions.
In turn, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Vae Danielyan stressed that the government is not against the presented document. Moreover, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports has put into circulation a similar document. As a result of discussions with parliamentarians, it was decided to combine both bills.
The bill is expected to be adopted at the sitting of the National Assembly on September 18.
