ArmInfo. The Armenian government approved the 25th program of anti-crisis measures aimed at neutralizing the economic consequences caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the press service of the RA Ministry of Economy, within the framework of the new program, state assistance will be rendered to tourist transport companies. The goal of the new program is to support transport companies serving the tourism sector. These transport companies will be paid 75% of the interest unpaid since April 1, 2020 on previously attracted loans, which will help them fulfill their loan obligations and direct the loan funds for development. The beneficiaries of the program, developed by the RA Ministry of Economy, are the transport sector operators, who are not micro-enterprises established before January 1, 2020.
The new program will be able to take advantage of those business entities that have not previously participated in the 23rd program to neutralize the economic consequences of the coronavirus, as well as those who have at least 50% of their working capital in 2019 through cashless payments. We are talking, in particular, about travel agencies, operators, enterprises providing other services in the field of tourism.
Entrepreneurs organizing accommodation will also be able to take advantage of the new program. At the same time, companies must have a good credit history, i.e. according to the credit bureau ACRA, in 2019 they had no overdue loan obligations for 30 days or more. Subjects must submit a written confirmation from a bank or credit institution that the loan was provided before March 31, 2020 inclusive for the purchase of a vehicle, as well as confirmation that, if the recipient of assistance is recognized, the repayment of the loan principal will be postponed at least until April 2021 year. The compensation is provided until March 2021 inclusive.
