PSRC: From 2021, Gazprom Armenia will have to conduct an  international audit on the implementation of the investment program

ArmInfo. From 2021, Gazprom Armenia will have to conduct an international audit on the implementation of the investment program, as other large companies  do. Chairman of the RA Public Services Regulatory Commission Garegin  Baghramyan stated this at the meeting of the parliamentary  commissions during the discussion of the draft state budget of  Armenia in 2021.

He expressed confidence that gas tariffs will not rise next year.  This is largely due to the development of a new methodology for  calculating the tariff, which will avoid its growth. The method  provides for averaging the company's income and expenses for the next  10 years. Thus, an attempt will be made to contain the growth of  tariffs. Over the years, the company intends to make investments in  the amount of over $ 400 million. Thanks to the investments, the  company will increase the efficiency of the gas distribution network.  "The sooner she starts to do this, the sooner she starts to receive  additional profit," the head of the PSRC emphasized.

Earlier, ArmInfo reported that "Gazprom Armenia" CJSC will invest  60.9 billion drams in the development of the republic's gas economy  in the next five years. At the same time, 36.8 billion drams will be  invested in the expansion of the underground gas storage in Abovyan,  and 12.6 billion drams in the modernization of the gas transmission  system. In other areas, investments will amount to 2.3 billion drams,  connecting new subscribers - 2.4 billion drams, in other areas of the  gas distribution system - 6.4 billion drams. In addition, AMD 262.6  million will be allocated for the purchase of vehicles for the  Hrazdan-5 heating unit.  Gazprom Armenia CJSC undertakes to submit to  the Commission the investment program for 2021-2024 by October 15,  2020.
