ArmInfo. For the development of design estimates for construction and repair in Armenia roads of interstate, inter-republican and inter-community importance will be allocated 243.5 million drams. At the meeting on November 26, the RA government redistributed budgetary funds for solving the set task.
According to the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan, all work on the development of documentation will be completed by the end of this year, which will allow active construction work to be launched in 2021. As of today, about 550 km of highways have already been repaired, including the roads financed under subvention programs. The minister noted that in the context of the coronavirus pandemic and hostilities, the volume of capital road construction has slowed down somewhat, especially given some problems related to credit resources. Martial law, according to the minister, had an impact on the implementation of a number of programs. The intensity of work was observed on those sections of the road on which it was allowed to carry out these works. However, as the minister assured, the intensity of work will increase significantly in 2021, which will be announced later.
