ArmInfo.Photovoltage industrial power plant "Ayg-1to be built in Talin and Dashtadem communities of Aragatson region of Armenia ". At the meeting on December 3, the RA government approved the list of companies that passed prequalification, the composition of the tender committee and the invitation to participate in the tender.
According to the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan, the capacity of the new solar power plant will be 200 megawatts as part of the investment program of the UAE company "Masdar". The companies AHKA, Hydrochainakorporation, Gazpromenergoholding and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (ADFEC) were pre-qualified. The results of the competition will be announced in February 2021. The tender commission included the Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures (Chairman), Deputy Minister of Justice (member of the Commission), Deputy Minister of the Environment (member of the Commission), Deputy Minister of Finance (member of the Commission) and Deputy Minister of Economy (member of the Commission). The purpose of the government's decision is to properly organize and conduct a tender for the design, financing, construction, management and operation of a solar photovoltaic station.
It should be reminded that on July 12 last year in Yerevan between the executive director of the "Masdar" company Mohammed Jamil Al Ramahi and the executive director of the Fund for National Interests of Armenia David Papazyan, an agreement on cooperation in the construction of a solar photovoltaic (200 MW) power plant, a wind power plant with a capacity of 200 MW of energy and "floating" solar installations with a capacity of 100 MW. More than 200 rivers and lakes can be used for floating solar programs. In Armenia, where the wind speed is 8.5 meters per second, there are favorable conditions for the construction of a wind farm. The country has an indicator of 1.720 kWh of solar energy per 1 sq. meter, in contrast to the average European figure of 1000 kWh. Armenia, being a full member of the Abu Dhabi International Renewable Energy Agency since 2010, aims to provide more than a quarter (26%) of domestic demand through renewable energy by 2025.
It should be noted that the construction of the Masrik-1 industrial-scale solar power plant in Armenia is ongoing, which is being built by the winning consortium of the Dutch company with Spanish roots Photowatio Renewable Ventures B.V and Spanish FSL Solar S.L. (FSL Solar SL). In order to implement the project, the consortium founded the Efarvi Masrik company in Armenia. The estimated cost of the investment program will exceed $ 55 million
