ArmInfo. An industrialization map was formed in the direction of import substitution in the Eurasian Economic Union to develop cooperation and deepen work. Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Iya Malkina , announced this during a briefing on December 7.
She explained that this map represents the basis for the work of the import substitution business at the level of all countries of the Union, and is aimed at import-dependent technological areas and the import- substituting potential of manufacturers, as well as at those sectors that are of greatest interest for possible cooperation. <Within the framework of the industrialization map of the Union, 170 large projects have been formed. We assume that the total investment may reach $ 194 billion and will cover almost 21 industries," Malkina said.
The EEC Assistant noted that the transition of the Union's integration from simple industrial cooperation to the stage of project integration is of fundamental importance. "The emphasis is on prioritizing investment cooperation and complementary specializations in the real sectors of the economy," she said.
