All-Armenian Fund "Hayastan" will donate $ 1.1 million to the  Military Insurance Fund

All-Armenian Fund "Hayastan" will donate $ 1.1 million to the  Military Insurance Fund

ArmInfo. The Hayastan All-Armenian Fund will transfer $ 1.1 million from the amount  transferred within the framework of the fundraising campaign "We and  Our Borders" to the Military Insurance Fund. The press service of the  Hayastan All-Armenian Fund reports.

It is reported that $ 932,892 of this amount were collected and  transferred to the Foundation by OneArmenia, $ 100,000 were collected  by the branch of the Foundation in Montreal, the remaining $ 67,108  were received in the form of individual donations.  It is noted that  the Foundation will continue to support various programs for the  treatment and rehabilitation of wounded servicemen.

"In various communities of the diaspora, fundraising in support of  the homeland continues. The last such event was the Phonethon  campaign launched a few days ago in Argentina, the results of which  will be summed up in the near future," the Foundation said.  Earlier  ArmInfo reported that 52.7 billion drams of financial resources  collected by the Hayastan All- Armenian Fund were transferred to the  Armenian government. According to the source, these funds were used  to rehabilitate the infrastructure damaged by the hostilities, as  well as to provide treatment and social security for the victims. The  transfer of money to the state budget gave the government the  opportunity to free up additional funds for the costs associated with  martial law. From September 17 to November 19, the need for such  expenses amounted to 101 billion drams. Since the beginning of  hostilities on September 27, the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund has  organized a nationwide fundraiser within the framework of the We Are  Our Borders program. The project managed to raise $ 170 million.

It should be noted that the fund's donations caused a mixed reaction  among the expert community, especially after the appearance of  reports about bonuses for employees of the state apparatus. Thus,  economist Suren Parsyan believes that the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund,  according to the charter, had no right to transfer funds to the state  budget - the Fund can only incur expenditures in the areas of the  charter goals. The economist emphasizes that neither coverage of the  RA budget deficit, nor military spending falls into this category.
