ArmInfo. In 2020, Armenia reduced the share of manufacturing in total industrial production from 69.8% to 67.1%. In absolute terms, the manufacturing industry declined from $ 3.057 billion recorded in 2019 to $ 2.825 billion at the end of  2020.

According to the analytical review "Main Socio-Economic  Indicators of the EAEU", in the structure of industrial production of  the EAEU, the share of the manufacturing industry in 2020 increased  from 63.6% to 67.8% ($ 706.1 billion), while the mining and quarrying  industry, on the contrary, decreased from 26.8% to 21.9% ($ 228.7  billion).

At the same time, the Producer Price Index (PPI) of industrial  products in Armenia increased by 4.6% in 2020 (against 1.4% growth in  2019). The growth came mainly from the mining industry - by 21.4%  (versus a 2.9% decline in 2019). In terms of the growth of the  industrial product price index, Armenia ranks third among the EAEU  countries.

But the largest increase in the industrial product price index among  the EAEU countries was recorded in Kyrgyzstan - 25.4% (against 8.6%  growth in 2019), which was largely due to the mining industry - 39.5%  and the processing industry - 28.5%.

Belarus is in the second place with an increase in the price index of  industrial products by 8% (against 4.4% growth in 2019), in  particular, the most tangible rise in prices was recorded for  electricity supply and gas supply - by 16.5% and water supply - by  12.5%. ...  Russia is in the fourth place with an increase in the  industrial product price index by 3.6% (against a 4.3% decline in  2019), and the decline in the index in the mining industry by 3.3%  was accompanied by an increase in the index in the manufacturing  industry by 6%.

And in Kazakhstan, the industrial product price index decreased by  4.2% (against 5.1% growth in 2019) due to the fall in the index in  the mining industry by 15.2%, while the index in the manufacturing  industry grew by 9%.

The industrial product price index for the EAEU as a whole increased  by 3.3% in 2020 (against a 3.5% decline in 2019) amid a decline in  PPI in the mining industry by 4.7%, while this indicator in the  manufacturing industry increased by 6.2 %, while a year earlier in  these areas the decline in the index was recorded by 7.9% and 2.6%,  respectively.

The volume of industrial production of the EAEU in January-December  2020 amounted to $ 1.043 trillion, decreasing by 2.7% per annum (in  constant prices), against an increase of 3.3% in 2019. The highest  volume was demonstrated by Russia - $ 922.4 billion, followed by  Kazakhstan - $ 64.8 billion, Belarus - $ 47.3 billion, Armenia - $  4.2 billion and Kyrgyzstan - $ 4.1 billion. In 2020, the largest  annual decline in industrial production was observed in Kyrgyzstan -  by 6.6%, then Russia followed - by 2.9%, and Armenia had a much  smaller drawdown - by 0.9%, while Kazakhstan and Belarus showed the  same rate of decline - 0.7%. A year earlier, in January-December  2019, the largest growth in industrial production was demonstrated by  Armenia - by 8.2%, followed by Kyrgyzstan - by 6.9%, Kazakhstan -  3.8%, Russia - 3.4%, Belarus - one%.

The review notes that only Russia and Kazakhstan managed to keep the  growth in the manufacturing industry in 2020 - 0.3% and 3.9%, slowing  down from 3.6% and 4.4% in 2019. And in the rest of the countries, a  decline was recorded, and Kyrgyzstan distinguished itself at the  highest rate - 7.2%, which, on the contrary, was in the lead in terms  of growth in 2019 (8.3%).  As for the dynamics of the volumes of the  mining industry, among the EAEU countries only Armenia managed to  maintain growth - 11.6%, and in 2019 it recorded the highest rate  (23.9%). Of the rest of the countries, the most significant  subsidence in the mining industry was in Kyrgyzstan - 22.4% (from  18.4% growth in 2019).

In the total volume of industrial production of the EAEU, Russia  accounted for 88.5%, Kazakhstan - 6.2%, Belarus - 4.5%, Kyrgyzstan  and Armenia - 0.4% each.
