ArmInfo. The Armenian economy has almost recovered. The Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kerobyan expressed a similar opinion on his Facebook page.
In particular, referring to the data of the RA Statistical Committee, V. Kerobyan noted that the indicator of economic activity in February of this year amounted to -5.3% per annum. "Considering that last year February was one day longer, the Armenian economy almost recovered. And this is in the case when the indicators for tourism are close to zero," the minister noted.
In this regard, he confirmed his intention to reach double-digit economic growth by the end of the year. It should be noted that according to preliminary statistics, economic activity in Armenia in January- February 2021 versus January-February 2020 decreased by 6.7%, in February 2021 to February 2020 - by 5.3%, and in February alone increased by 12.4 %. A year earlier, in January-February 2020, an increase in economic activity of 8.7% per annum was recorded, the same growth in February 2020 versus February 2019, and a February growth of 9.2%.
