
ArmInfo.Armenia and the EU intend to take effective steps towards expanding cooperation in the customs field. This became known following the results of the first meeting of the Subcommittee on Customs Issues, acting within the framework of the Agreement on Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union (CEPA), which was held in an online format.
It is reported that during the meeting, the parties touched upon the priorities related to the customs field between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union, within the framework of which the outlined main directions were presented, and also discussed the new editions of the Customs Codes of the EAEU and the EU.
The meeting participants also touched upon the practice of applying customs administration within the European Union, including in the context of the convergence of legal solutions. The meeting was also attended by the head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin, the RA Customs Attache in the World Customs Organization and the European Union Suren Melik-Israelian and representatives of the RA Ministry of Economy.
