In Armenia, the negative balance of migration in the first quarter of  2021 decreased by 30.6%

ArmInfo.Negative migration balance in Armenia at the end of the first quarter of 2021 amounted to 682 people, which is less than a year ago by 30.6%, and in the  two-year context, a decrease of 44% was recorded. This is evidenced  by the data of the RA Statistical Committee.

 In general, 14,364 cases of population migration were registered in the RA, with an  annual decline of 11.3%. In particular, 4,423 people moved to the  country from abroad (with an annual decline of 14.8%), and emigrated  abroad 5,105 people (with an annual decline of 17.4%).

The main countries where the citizens of Armenia prefer to move are  Russia, the Republic of Artsakh, Georgia, France and Kazakhstan.

Meanwhile, intra-republican migration amounted to 9,259 cases, which  is 7.6% less than the annual rate.  For tourism purposes, 86,524  people visited Armenia during the reporting period, which is 71.9%  less than a year ago.
