Armenia will reduce the tax burden on individual entrepreneurs in the  line of deductions of excise tax to the "1000 AMD Fund"

ArmInfo. The legislator changes the rates of excise tax deductions transferred to the Military Insurance Fund (1000 AMD Fund) for individual entrepreneurs. On May 19, the profile commission of the parliament approved a legislative bill "On  compensation for damage inflicted on the life and health of  servicemen during hostilities."

According to co-author of the legislative initiative, lawmaker from  the My Step faction, Gevorg Papoyan, the proposed changes will  significantly reduce the tax burden on individual entrepreneurs (IE).   Thus, at present, the following calculation base operates for  individual entrepreneurs in y-o-y terms - with a turnover of up to  1.2 million drams, the amount of payments is 18 thousand drams. Today  the initiators of the project propose to raise this level to 2.4  million drams. With a settlement base from 2.4 million drams to 6  million drams, instead of the stipulated 66 thousand drams, payments  will be 24 thousand drams, from 6 million drams to 12 million drams -  48 thousand drams, against the current 102 thousand drams, and with a  settlement base of 12 million AMD and more, the amount of payments  will be 120 thousand AMD, instead of the current 180 thousand AMD.

At the same time, as Papoyan stressed, this initiative will in no way  affect the activities of the Fund - its solvency and financial  stability.

Recall that at the end of December 2020, a decision was made in  Armenia to increase the rate of contributions by citizens of the  country to the Military Insurance Fund. In particular, the following  decision was made: persons with a salary of up to 100 thousand drams  will pay 1500 drams to the Fund, from 100 thousand to 200 thousand -  3 thousand drams, from 201 thousand to 500 thousand drams - 5.5  thousand drams, from 501 thousand drams up to 1 million drams - 8.5  thousand drams, over 1 million drams - 15 thousand drams.

In the case of individual entrepreneurs and notaries, a calculation  base has been adopted, according to which, with a turnover of up to  1.2 million drams, the amount of payments will be 18 thousand drams,  from 3.6 million drams to 12 million drams - 24 thousand drams, etc.
