
ArmInfo. The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia reports that the highest rate of registered jobs was recorded in May 2021.
According to the press service of the department, based on the data reflected in the monthly reports of income tax and social payments submitted by taxpayers to the tax authority, the results of the indicators for May 2021 were summed up.
In particular, according to May 2021, the number of jobs providing income (tax base) amounted to about 635 thousand, which is about 8.5 thousand more than in April 2021, and 37 thousand more than in May 2020. The indicator exceeds the same indicator for May 2019 by 34 thousand, and by 87 thousand in May 2018.
At the same time, in May 2021, compared to the same months of previous years, the declared income from jobs (tax base) increased to about 134.7 billion drams, which exceeds the same indicator for May 2020 by 16.2%, the figure for May 2019 year - 19.8%, and 39.3% in May 2018.
In May 2021, compared to the same month of previous years, income from one job (tax base) also increased, amounting to approximately 212 thousand drams. A similar indicator for May 2020 was 194 thousand drams, in 2019 - 187 thousand drams, and in 2018 - 176 thousand drams.
"To recall, the number of income-generating jobs in September 2020 amounted to about 632 thousand, which is an unprecedented figure - the highest indicator in the statistical history of the Republic of Armenia. And in May 2021, even this figure was exceeded," the SRC notes. The tax authority welcomes taxpayers who continue to behave in a disciplined manner and the results of joint steps to reduce the shadow economy.
The State Revenue Committee recalls that any registered job brings additional tax revenue (to state treasury, Ed. note), which contributes to the security of the country.
