ArmInfo. Over the last 5-6 years, the fixed capital formation index has remained at a low level in Armenia. Tigran Jrbashyan, the Head of Management Advisory Services at Ameria Group of Companies, a well-known economist, said this during the discussions on economic realities in Armenia on July 2.
In particular, he said that this indicator in the structure of the RA GDP was only 16.6%, while the countries with progressive growth rates keep it at the level of at least 30%, and the indicator for the "Asian tigers" exceeds 40% of the GDP.
In this vein, he drew attention to the fact that according to this indicator, Armenia is inferior even to neighboring countries. "This suggests that we have had problems with the restoration of the GDP potential for a long time. And this is the indicator that has a serious impact on the problems of economic recovery in the long term>, the expert added.
